Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026 · LICHFIELD SUSHI LTD
This policy explains how LICHFIELD SUSHI LTD ("we", "us", "Makisu") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit lichsush.shop, buy our kits or contact us.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is LICHFIELD SUSHI LTD, a company registered in the United Kingdom. Registered address: 8 Leighton Close, B43 7HY, United Kingdom. For any privacy question, contact support@lichsush.shop or call +44 7224625012.
2. What we collect
We collect the following categories of personal data:
- Order and fulfilment data — name, shipping address, email, phone and the items you buy, used for order fulfilment: to process, pack, ship and deliver your order, handle returns and provide customer support.
- Account and membership data — email, password (stored hashed), wishlist, order history and subscription status if you create an account or join Roll Club.
- Payment data — billing details and card transactions are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation and limited details (such as the last four digits and card brand); we never receive or store your full card number.
- Support data — the content of messages you send through our contact and wholesale forms and by email.
- Technical and usage data — IP address, device and browser type, and pages viewed, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
3. Collection sources (where your data comes from)
We collect personal data from the following collection sources: (a) directly from you when you place an order, create an account, subscribe to Roll Club, or contact us through our forms or by email; (b) automatically from your device through cookies and analytics; and (c) from our payment processor, Stripe, which sends us order and payment confirmations. We do not buy personal data from third-party data brokers.
4. Why we use it and our legal bases
- To perform our contract with you — process orders, take payment, ship kits, manage returns and run membership.
- Legitimate interests — to secure our site, prevent fraud, improve our products and respond to enquiries.
- Consent — for optional marketing emails and non-essential cookies; you can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — to keep tax, accounting and consumer-law records.
5. Who we share it with
We share data only with processors that help us run the store:
- Payment processing — Stripe.
- Hosting and infrastructure — our cloud hosting and database providers.
- Email and support communications — our email service provider.
- Delivery — the shipping carriers that deliver your order.
We do not sell your personal information. We require every processor to protect your data and use it only on our instructions.
6. International transfers
We ship worldwide and some of our processors operate outside the UK and EEA. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements, EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
7. How long we keep it
We keep order and transaction records for as long as required by tax and accounting law (generally six years). Account data is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards. Support messages are kept only as long as needed to resolve your query and for reference.
8. Your rights (UK GDPR, EU GDPR and CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data or complete incomplete data.
- Delete your data (the right to erasure).
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- For California residents: know what we collect, request deletion, and opt out — see below.
To exercise any right, email support@lichsush.shop. We respond within the timeframes required by law.
9. Do Not Sell or Share (California)
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. California residents may still submit access and deletion requests using the contact details above, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
10. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to run the basket and checkout, and optional analytics cookies to understand how the site is used. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser and our cookie controls. See our Cookie Policy for detail.
11. Automated decisions and children
We do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. Our store is intended for adults. Accounts are not available to children under 13. Customers aged 13–17 must have a parent or guardian's consent, and kits containing knives are sold for adult use and are not marketed to children.
12. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable processors to protect your data. No method of transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to notify you and the relevant authority of any breach where required.
13. Complaints and contact
If you have a concern, contact us first at support@lichsush.shop. UK and EU residents also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
